Protect yourself from fraud

Overseas job scams are common. Before you pay or hand over your passport:

  • Ask to see the promoter's licence and check it with the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment at beoe.gov.pk.
  • Confirm the vacancy exists with the Protector of Emigrants.
  • Pay only charges allowed under the Emigration Rules, and ask for an official receipt.
  • Read your contract before you sign and keep a copy.

Example terms from a Saudi demand

One recent Saudi demand offered company accommodation, transportation and medical benefits, 45 days vacation with a return air ticket every two years, and a six-month probation. Your own terms depend on your employer and appear in your contract before you travel.

Candidate questions

How do I know Murtajiz Manpower is a licensed recruiter?

We operate as an Overseas Employment Promoter under registration number 3839/RWP, issued on 19 January 2016 by the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment, Government of Pakistan. You can ask us for the current licence copy at any time and check any promoter on the Bureau website at beoe.gov.pk.

Which trades do you recruit for Saudi Arabia?

Electricians, technicians, mechanics, engineers, heavy machine and crane operators, scaffolders, riggers, data technicians, satellite dish installers, materials laboratory technicians, administrative and support staff, and general helpers, depending on the demand we hold at the time.

Do I need a skill test before travelling to Saudi Arabia?

For occupations that Saudi Arabia designates, candidates must pass the Takamol Skill Verification test before the visa stage. We tell you at selection whether your trade needs it and prepare you at our trade test centre in Islamabad.

Should I pay anyone before I am selected?

No. Check the vacancy with the Protector of Emigrants, pay only the charges allowed under the Emigration Rules, and always ask for an official receipt. If anyone asks for cash without a receipt, walk away and report it.

How long does the process take?

It depends on the employer and the visa. Our standard steps are selection, trade test, medical, documents, visa endorsement, emigration clearance and flight. We give you a timeline once your employer confirms the demand.
